Contractual Terms
New instructions to members of 9 Lincoln’s Court, unless otherwise agreed, will be accepted under the terms set out in the ‘Standard Contractual Terms for the Supply of Legal Services by Barristers to Authorised Persons’. A full copy of “the Terms” available on request.

Fees
Please contact the clerks to discuss fees. Our clerking team has a transparent and commercial approach to fees and would be happy to discuss the most suitable fee structure for your case. Typical fee structures, depending on the type of case and the work required, include hourly rates and fixed fees/brief fees & refreshers.
Timescales
Timescales for completion of instructions may vary depending on a number of factors, including the type and complexity of the case, the stage the case has reached, court or tribunal availability (Should the instruction involve a hearing/s) and may also be affected by barristers’ availability, and any relevant third-party availability also.

You can access decision data on the LeO website here This shows providers which received an ombudsman’s decision in the previous 12 months, and whether LeO required the provider to give the consumer a remedy. Barristers in chambers are regulated by the Bar Standards Board. You can search the Barristers’ Register on the Bar Standard Board’s website: https://www.barstandardsboard.org.uk/for-the-public/search-a-barristers-record/the-barristers-register.html This shows 1) whether a barrister has a current practising certificate and 2) whether a barrister has any disciplinary findings, which are published on the Bar Standards Board’s website in accordance with their policy.
